The Royal Albert Dock is based in Liverpool, England. Designed by Jesse Hartley and Philip Hardwick, the dock and the warehouse buildings were opened in 1846. It was known simply as the Albert Dock until 2018, when it was granted a royal charter and had the honorific "Royal" added to its name. At the time of its construction, the dock was revolutionary in its design because ships were loaded and unloaded directly from or to the warehouses. Today the Royal Albert Dock is a major tourist attraction in the city and is a vital component of Liverpool's UNESCO designated World Heritage Maritime Mercantile City.
As with all Gibsons jigsaws, we use 100% recycled puzzle board, FSC paper and work with the best artists from all around the world. The beautifully illustrated pieces are designed to fit perfectly together; in fact, we use the thickest puzzle board on the market. Everyone loves a Gibsons jigsaw, even Her Majesty the Queen has been spotted with one.
We’ve made some positive changes to our processes, so you can be sure you’re getting the same great puzzles and know they are kinder to the environment. Not only does the box have a fresh new look, but we’ve used biodegradable clear labels to secure the lid instead of shrink wrap, reducing our plastic waste. We use vegetable-based inks too. The gloss coating on the box gives extra protection and the puzzle pieces are stored in a plastic bag that can be recycled by most councils.
Because the box is slightly smaller than our previous designs, we need less room to transport our products which reduces our carbon footprint and means you can store your puzzles more easily. We have also popped an artwork poster inside for you to reference whilst you piece together your lovely jigsaw puzzle.
We aim to get your order to you as quickly as possible and ship within 1 to 3 working days. Postage is free for all UK orders over £20, or £2.99 for smaller orders. Our standard delivery is by Royal Mail. However, depending on size and weight, some items may be delivered via our courier service.
Goods supplied within the UK will normally be delivered within 7 working days of acceptance of your order. During busier periods this may be slightly longer, we will notify you if there is a delay.
We try to be environmentally conscious and to do so we re-use packaging wherever we can. You may find we've re-used materials received from our suppliers in packing your order. Whilst we do not buy these materials, we hope you will agree that the more use we can make of them, before they go to landfill, the better.
We accept payment via all major credit and debit cards, through a 3D secure server.
Your card will be debited on completion of the checkout process and the purchase will appear on your statement as "Mountain Ash Crafts"
